Workshop helps small businesses sell themselves
Local businesses can learn how to sell their goods and services to local government agencies at an upcoming workshop Thursday, May 17. There is no charge to attend.
“Building Local Partnerships” is being organized by a variety of local government agencies.
Representatives from UC Merced, the City of Merced, the County of Merced, Merced Union High School District, Merced County Office of Education, Merced City School district, Merced College, the State Department of General Services and the California SBDC will be on hand to explain the process involved in landing government contracts.
The session will be from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Merced, 615 W. 15th St. A continental breakfast is provided. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the presentations starting at 9 a.m. Business owners will be able to meet with the purchasing agents starting at 10 a.m.
