The Recycling Division is responsible for collection of all recyclable material within City limits. At this time, this includes scheduled and unscheduled service for residential customers.
Mission
To provide the citizens of Merced excellent recycling services, which help meet State mandates, preserve quality of life, and enhance the City’s general appearance.
Goals
Provide regular collection of residential, co-mingled, single stream recyclables in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

Recycle It!
Don’t think you have enough for a recycle bin? Think again! There are a lot more items you can put in your blue container than you think. Don’t know what to do with all that junk mail? Throw it in the blue can. Have you moved past the ‘80’s hairdo and no longer need a ton of hairspray? Throw that hairspray container in the blue bin.
