Our residents enjoy a robust city park system of 30 community and neighborhood parks, youth sports facilities, and over 53 miles of walking/bike paths. Our growing local business community and vibrant cultural scene sets Merced as a place where innovation meets tradition, creating a unique blend that sets us apart.

Merced is home to Merced College and the University of California Merced campus, which offer educational and economic opportunities that drive economic mobility. Additionally, UC Merced will soon be home to a medical education facility that will train the next generation of physicians who are committed to addressing the valley’s healthcare needs.

In an effort to further strengthen our city, our team continues to focus on creating employment and housing opportunities, attracting new businesses, enhancing service and retail markets to create a community where people can live, work, shop, and enjoy family and friends.
