The City of Merced has a number of Specific Plans that are adopted and are part of the City's General Plan. For information on these adopted Specific Plans, please contact the Planning Division at (209) 385-6858, but two of the five adopted Specific Plans are available for download below.

In 2006, the City of Merced began a process to draft a South Merced Specific Plan, which will implement the South Merced Strategic Plan adopted in 2004.

In 2005, the City began processing an application for a Specific Plan from a private developer. This Specific Plan, known as the Five Bridges Specific Plan, is being prepared on behalf of the City by a consultant.
