Encroachment Permit Instructions and Information:

• Review the requirements for your application ENGINEERING SUBMITTAL CHECKLIST
• Complete the Engineering Encroachment Application
  • Attachments can be added to the application on the screen after Submit & Sign
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted
• Encroachment Permit initial review time is 2 weeks, each revision is 1 week.
• An agency may apply for the encroachment permit, but a contractor is required in order to execute and release the encroachment permit.
• Permit Review Fee/Plan Check Fee is non refundable (to find out what the current City of Merced Engineering Division Permit Review/Plan Check Fee rates are, please email ENCROACHMENTPERMIT@CITYOFMERCED.ORG)
• Permits are valid for 6 months after approval, or 30 days from initial inspection unless otherwise approved by Engineering Division.
