Stay cool and hit the pool

Temperatures will be getting hot in the days ahead, so it's a good time get cool and hit the pool. McNamara pool (1040 Canal) is open Thursday through Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. for rec swimming. Golden Valley High Pool (2121 E. Childs) is open for rec swim from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturdays.

The cost to swim at either pool is $1 for youths and $2 for people ages 18 and up.

We will continue to have adult swimming at McNamara Pool (1040 Canal) from 6-7:30 Thursdays and at Merced High (205 W. Olive) 7-8 p.m. No charge for the adult swimming while we get that program started as part of our H.E.A.L City (Healthy Eating Active Lifestyle).
