The Zoning, Sign, and Subdivision ordinances are part of the Merced Municipal Code. The Zoning Ordinance is Title 20 of the Merced Municipal Code, the Sign Ordinance is Title 17.36, and the Subdivision Ordinance is Title 18.

Zoning and General Plan Maps

In the meantime, the City is providing the latest copies of the Zoning and General Plan maps below. Please note that these maps are subject to be updated at any time so please refer to the "Caution" note below.

Clicking on the links below will take you outside of the City's website to the website maintained by the Merced County Association of Governments (MCAG). MCAG maintains the City's General Plan and Zoning Maps.

Caution: Before using the information on these maps to make decisions regarding a particular piece of property (deciding to buy it, sell it, construct something on it, etc.), you need to confirm the accuracy of the information with the Merced Planning staff at (209) 385-6858 or come by our offices at the Merced Civic Center at 678 W 18th St. This is necessary because although we make every effort to keep these maps up-to-date, they are only updated as changes occur; and the City Council may have recently approved a zone change or a general plan amendment on a particular piece of property that is not reflected on the map.
