On September 6, 2016, the Merced City Council introduced Ordinance #2465, adopting a new Zoning Ordinance for the City of Merced (the first comprehensive update of the Ordinance since its adoption in the early 1960's). After a second reading and adoption on September 19, 2016, the Ordinance became effective on October 19, 2016. Various amendments to the Zoning Ordinance have since occurred and those amendments are reflected in the Merced Zoning Ordinance available for download below.
